L'Oreal HIP Color Presso Gloss Review & Swatches

L'Oreal High Intensity Pigments Color Presso Lip Gloss in Trendy & Swanky

L'Oreal HIP's Color Presso glosses give you a fun, innovative way to create our own customized gloss shade. Just squeeze each compartment to release as much of each particular shade as you want and apply to your lips--instant fun!

The Color Presso glosses are are relatively light and non-sticky and have a delicious birthday cake scent to them that I realy enjoy, but unfortunately they're rather lacking in the pigment department. Both Swanky (which consists of a bright pink with golden shimmer on one side and golden beigey shade on the other) and Trendy (shimmer mauve and a pale baby pink) are pretty much invisible on my lips, leaving behind only a trace of shimmer and essentially no color.

I really loved the packaging and concept behind these glosses, but sadly the reality wasn't so great for me, especially for $13. Since I'm generally not a lipstick/lipgloss layerer, I need for my glosses to have decent pigmenation so that they can hold their own against whatever eye makeup I'm wearing on any given day, and these just didn't deliver.

Lip Swatch of Swanky

If you're looking for a light gloss with nice shimmer and a comfortable formula, L'oreal's HIP Color Presso glosses might be worth a shot, but if you're looking for the rich pigmentation you'd normally expect from a HIP product, these are definitely a pass.

I liked the colour Swanky in the bottle, but the pigmentation isn't much.

I don't think we have L'Oreal HIP stuff here, either. Still, for light colour with shimmer, I'd use my MAC Baby Sparks.

Anastasia I have more than enough shimmer light glosses--the last thing I need is another. I want pigment!

I heard these aren't as pigmented as most ppl would expect from "H.I.P" products. It just looks like any normal lip gloss. It'd be nicer if it were more pigmented

Lisa these definitely aren't, and I was pretty disappointed with them, especially for the price. These aren't exactly cheap for drugstore glosses!
